Hello Everyone! (Business Owner)

Hey everyone. I wanted to drop in and introduce myself, though I'll be upfront right away: I’m not a developer. I can't train a model from scratch, and my coding skills are pretty much nonexistent. I'm a business owner and a product guy.

For the past few years, I’ve been working alongside a genuinely amazing team of devs. Usually, my job is to figure out the market, design the experience, and handle the growth, while they do the heavy lifting of actually writing the code.

But lately, we’ve completely shifted our focus to building our new ventures entirely with and around AI, and it has completely changed our lives as an indie team. The biggest difference? We are shipping super fast.

Before we started leveraging AI, getting a new product off the ground was an absolute grind. It meant months of planning, testing, and burning through runway just to get a clunky MVP out the door. Now, the pace is almost unbelievable.

A perfect example of this is a recent project we pushed live: a podcast transcript AI site. If we had tried to build a highly accurate audio-to-text tool from scratch a few years ago, it would have been a massive, expensive headache. But by plugging into the incredible models and tools being shared right now, my team was able to wire up the backend, refine the output, and get a working, polished product into users' hands in record time.

So, what is a non-technical founder doing hanging around here?

Honestly, I’m just trying to keep up. I want to learn from the people who are actually building these models, see what new capabilities are coming down the pipeline, and figure out how my team can use them to build better tools. I rely heavily on the brilliant work this community does, and I want to understand the tech at a deeper level so I can be a better partner to my devs.
